Hey! I’m Jess, an official reviewer for ‘Trusty-Review.com’ and due to my love of dogs and recently acquiring a beautiful new puppy I was delighted to be given the chance to review ‘Brain training for dogs‘.

Here Is My Honest Review Of Brain Training For Dogs!

Ok, you have heard that the brain training for dogs course is an excellent way of training you thought you would get somebody else’s opinion before you make the leap. Right from the off you are offered a free game and articles which is a good start and their site is easy to read and navigate.

I love anything tats free so it’s good to see some fun starter game which you can use as a starting point to train your dog. The aeroplane game was great (and my dog loved it too, lol) There are also a few bonus articles so I recommend you read the ‘guide for behaviour training’ before getting underway.

Not to be missed: When you click on the page Brain Training For Dogs button, there is no site menu or external links. The course info page is quite long, however, there is some interesting, helpful information amidst the sales page.

*If you don’t want to red the full review and are keen to banish all of the issues you are currently having with your dog then I highly recommend this program so you can go right ahead and get your copy of Brain Training For Dogs right away.

Format Of The Dog Training Course

The format of the Brain training for dogs course is very likeable and the course is laid out in an easy to understand mythology with the intention of building on each lesson.

There were lessons in the ‘college’ section which would be difficult to master if you have not done the previous modules prior to this. So I like the fact that you have to work your way through each stage which is a positive for me as it shows that the training actually works and you can see results as you go along.

Each module has an introduction page which has links to each lesson. I felt that this format made the whole course easy to follow and easy to pick up where you previously left off.

Each lesson also includes a list of items that you need which you will see at the top of the page so I was able to prepare myself before I started the training.

The course is set out with plenty of pictures and diagrams which was really helpful. I particularly liked the fact that some important tips were highlighted in different colours. There are also useful tips at the end of each lesson which was handy too.

Also…. at the end of the course there is a full, printable glossary which I decided to print off for my records.

Did I find the lessons in Brain Training For Dogs beneficial?

To give the most honest review I can I felt I had to read through the whole course and then go back to the beginning and start implementing the training on my own dog!

The course starts with an introduction module to help you train successfully. After the introduction are the Obedience lessons.

I found this section a joy and really easy to follow. Adrienne provides multiple ways to train most lessons, some with props which is very helpful when training alone.

I have to give a special mention to the Take it/ leave it section which I felt was a brilliant and worth while task for the health and well being of your dog.

Trainers Tip: Don’t skip the obedience lessons. Even if your dog already knows the basics, a refresher and polish is ALWAYS in order. Also, mastery of some of these is required to be successful in later games.

After obedience we move onto Preschool. Hopefully your dog has already done well with the obedience and has a good foundation to his or her education and will take preschool in their stride.

However, the Preschool lessons include target training and two attention games which are highly important to being successful as your dog moves forward.

I found that persisting with this section REALLY HELPED my dog to process to the next stage. It was at this point where I started to notice a change.

An Extra Thought: The preschool module basically improves on the obedience module and it could have in fact been 1 module, but nevertheless they both work very well

Next is Elementary where your dog will get have fun with games like the “muffin tin” and “ball pit”. Adrienne suggests the use of “high value” treats for times where your dog is harder to motivate. It’s definetely worth investing in some tennis balls for this game.

From Elementary you’ll go to High School.

This is the ‘game changer’ section as it teaches your dog to calm down. which is something I always struggled with my dog prior to this training. It includes games on the basis of scent. It really helps to give your dog purpose.

After High School comes the College module. This one continues with more scent work and games that encourage patience as well as build confidence.

An Extra Thought: There was a particular training/game called Open Sesame. This game teaches a skill that is vital and potentially lifesaving. You don’t usually see this type of vital training is other dog training courses.

From College to University, This module certainly see’s more advanced training and your dog will really start to come on leaps and bounds and you will see your work paying off.

It is an excellent foundation game for search and rescue or service dog training but really, you will be surprised how often you will use this skill with your dog!

Trainers Tip: Don’t rush, mastering a new skill takes time, your dog will get better day by day but don’t rush them to quickly

After all these modules, you will move to Graduation and beyond that, Einstein (Genius).

Now we start to see some interesting tricks and agility training. You will get a great sense of achievement when you have reached this stage. I really felt a better connection with my dog after reaching this stage and although I thought it wasn’t possible to increase the bond I had my my dog I felt like we had taken our relationship to another level (I know that may sound weird! lol)

If you plan to go into agility training, retrieving, search and rescue, service dog or other advanced programs, these lessons will be good for your dog to know.

Your dog will learn some interesting factors like left and right and they will certainly stand out from other dogs in the park, that’s for sure!

Advice: These aren’t necessary for a well behaved dog, however, if you decide to teach them, you will be amazed at the things your dog can do!

Some Extra Info About Brain Training For Dogs!

There are a few other things I would like to mention in my Brain Training For Dogs Review

First off, the membership also includes an incredible wealth of information that is categorized and easy to find. Topics are Puppy Training, Behavior Problems, and, my favourite, Case Studies.

The articles are detailed and informative although not in the same format as the main course

An Extra Thought:  Adrienne’s articles are straightforward and easy to grasp. i have read a lot of dog training book but this one really stands out and anyone can follow it easily

I was particularly interested in the puppy training section within these articles after recently having a new pup it was the perfect time to start socialising and potty training. It was also good to eradicate those naughty little habits which all puppies seem to pose.

(Adrienne offers 7 potty training strategies and troubleshooting.) WELL WORTH READING

The behaviour section includes issues that dog owners fear most; whining, barking, jumping, digging, and chewing.

My dog started to chew things almost as soon as we had her. and whined every time we left her But the advice in this course WAS AMAZING!!

For example, Under whining there are 4 subtopics to help with the specific type of whining which is really helpful.

Adrienne also explains something I had never heard of and thats  ‘dog body language’ (every owner should know this), and she reiterates them in lessons where you’re most likely to see the behaviours.

Caution: There is a great deal of information within this section but its not laid out in the format as with the first few modules. nevertheless, some invaluable advice right here

Actual Results From Brain Training For Dogs!

My favorite section, as a dog trainer, is the Case Studies. Here Adrienne introduces members to 2 dogs (as of this writing) who were brought to her for training.

Videos show the negative behaviors with explanations as to what might be the cause(s), and the actual techniques she used to train these dogs.

When you see a a trainer taking 2 completely new dogs and change their whole persona and is amazing to watch

You can also see plenty of testimonials from real dog owners who have followed Adrienne’s advice which can be found HERE.

Also a writer for OfficiallyPets, Leah Spaulding, has recently began using the program, to train her dog Bean! You can find their journey with weekly updates and her review of brain training for dogs here!

Overall the results have been excellent and the fact that we get to see Adrienne actually putting her work to use and training dogs on video is great.

How Much Does Brain Training For Dogs Cost?

To be honest after the long sales pitch which you will find on the Brain training for dogs site, I was expecting it to be at a premium price

The fact that the trainer is extremely experienced and provides proof of their abilities + the easy format and which is set out in a school program like model is just brilliant, so I would expect to pay a high end price (which I have done for other courses, believe me).

– Is it easy to follow?

Absolutely, probably my favourite thing about the whole course is the simplicity to follow each module. A definite thumbs up from me here

– What is the time commitment?

If like me , you probably don’t have a great deal of time. The fact that the lessons are broken down into 10-15 mins is a massive positive for me

– Do you trust and believe in the trainers ability?

Yes, Yes, Yes……

Adrienne’s methods are science based and positive. She does not use any harsh training techniques and always keeps the focus on what will help the dog to learn.

She also has a great deal of experience that she has backed up with certification. With that in mind, Here wealth of knowledge certainly comes across in this course

– Is there personalized support?

I’ve not had to use their support, but I can tell you that it is there and they strive to ensure that you get every bit of value out of the program.

I would have every confidence in their support system.

–The BIG Question… Is Brain Training for Dogs Worth It?

I have gone through a few dog training guides and DVD’s in the region of $25-$35 and to be honest they were nothing special.

To get a comprehensive training guide, a behavior guide and videos, you are looking at spending about $60 and that’s without all the information in one, easy to use format and the additional resources.

Brain Training for Dogs is only $47 including the extras.

My verdict: yes! It is well worth the price! And if you become a member and decide it wasn’t what you were expecting, there is a money back guarantee. It satisfies me that this trainer is willing to stand behind her work!
